In the fall of 2022, I feel I've reached the pinnacle of my habitat management journey by harvesting a Boone and Crocket buck that spent a good deal of time on our Minnesota  farm, a feat I never thought would be possible.  To experience a moment like that after all the hard work is tough to describe.

I have been doing whitetail habitat consulting and hands on habitat work part-time for the past four years.  When I walk a property with a landowner we talk about all of the different ways that they can transform their property to hold more deer.  Most guys never think beyond food plots, but once you're willing to take a holistic approach to looking at your property and manage the entire property for deer, you'll see a benefit you may have never thought possible.

As we walk and talk on your land we'll talk about a variety of different topics including different forest stand improvement techniques, bedding area creation, invasive species management, fallow field management, food plots, tree and shrub planting, stand placement, travel corridors, stand access routes, screening cover, edge-feathering, and much more.

Each property is unique, there is no cookie cutter approach to this.  But every property has potential.  If you're willing to invest the time needed into the habitat work, change is possible!
